Stevanato Group is Proud to Be in the COVAX Marketplace Launched by CEPI: A Platform to Accelerate COVID-19 Vaccine Production

The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) has launched the COVAX Marketplace, a key deliverable to accelerate the global production of COVID-19 vaccine to quickly respond to immediate market needs and improve the free flow of critical COVID-19 vaccine supplies.

The COVAX Marketplace aims to accelerate the global production of COVID-19 vaccine doses by matching existing suppliers of critical inputs with vaccine manufacturers who urgently need them to produce vaccines for fair and equitable distribution.

The project provides a secure platform for vaccine manufacturers and suppliers of critical inputs to confidentially indicate their needs or available supplies to CEPI, in its role as facilitator of the Marketplace. CEPI then identifies matching offers and requests for supplies and connects potential matches. Finally, matches negotiate and conclude the transaction between themselves, independently of the Marketplace.

Stevanato Group, after signing a key agreement with CEPI in June 2020 for the supply of glass vials, is now a key and active partner in this new project.

The COVAX Marketplace is a key deliverable of the COVAX Vaccine Manufacturing Taskforce launched to tackle COVID-19 vaccine supply challenges.
