Dual-chamber glass cartridges are designed for lyophilized and sensitive drugs

Stevanato Group bypass cartridges are designed for safe and convenient handling of sensitive drugs. In the same cartridge, two drug components are held in two independent chambers, with a plunger separating them. A bypass system enables the reconstitution of contents, such as a freeze-dried formulation and a diluent, immediately before administration, or sequential injections for liquid-liquid formulations. In fact, the position and length of the channels can be customized to meet customer requirements.

When lyophilized drugs are reconstituted separately, it can impact both dose accuracy and handling efficiency. Accurate dosing and drug reconstruction represent the main challenges, and dual chamber cartridges are the perfect containment solution to overcome them ensuring dose accuracy and safety.
