Enhancing performance: precision siliconization
Once the vial is formed, the internal surface treatment becomes essential for drug delivery. We offer integrated siliconization lines designed to optimize container performance and ensure the highest drug stability.
Silicone, applied as an emulsion or oil, acts as a high-performance lubricant. Its hydrophobic properties are critical for ensuring a high restitution rate, allowing the administration of the drug down to the last drop. Furthermore, this protective layer minimizes interactions between the drug product and the glass, preventing product adhesion and maintaining perfect container transparency.
Key benefits of our automated siliconization:
- Superior gliding: increases performance between the glass and internal components, such as rubber stoppers
- Reduced dead volume: improves the flow of liquid solutions, ensuring accurate dosing and reducing pharmaceutical waste
- Enhanced stability: significantly limits the chemical interaction between the pharmaceutical product and the glass surface
- Process versatility: engineered to handle the most common materials, including both silicone emulsions and silicone oils
